Thermal insulation jackets do more than just give thermal insulation to pressure-reducing valves. As professionals in the construction industry, we have used these numerous times and found no complaints whatsoever. Below we list some reasons why we feel valve covers are the best way to insulate pressure-reducing valves.

Its Make: Valve jackets are made using top-quality silicone-coated glass cloth. While some may use PVC-coated material for outdoor or indoor applications, we do not prefer that. At Buy Insulation Online, we prefer top-quality products and we apply the same principle while making these jackets. The glass cloth contains 25-50mm Rockwool insulation. The low conductivity mineral wool helps save both energy and money. Valve jackets bring in a major difference in energy usage in industrial and commercial environments.

Thermal Insulation: The low thermal conductivity mineral wool is used to protect the pressure-reducing valves from heat loss. By giving airtight insulation around the PRVs, valve covers help make your building more energy-efficient.  They also protect the pressure-reducing valves from any external damage. This helps improve the longevity of the valves.

Safer Workplace: Since they are made with top-quality silicone coated glass cloth, these valve covers protect personnel from direct contact with the hot surface of the valves. Also, since valve covers help reduce condensation and sweating in valves, water does not drip from the valves. This significantly helps reduces the formation of small pools of water in the workplace. These pools would otherwise lead to slips or accidents, injuring the workforce.

Easy to Use and Install: Armed with velcro straps and pull cord, valve jackets ensure airtight insulation even around the awkward angles of the pressure-reducing valves. Also, much unlike the rigid insulation that was previously used to insulate these valves, valve covers are flexible, lightweight and easy to use. You can just as easily re-install them causing no harm to the insulation or PRVs.

  • Lead times for pressure-reducing valve covers within the UK: 1-99 units:2-3 working days; 100 - 500 units: 7 working days and 500- 1000 units: 1-2 weeks. Bespoke items may take longer as we may require additional information from customers
  • We can print your company logo on the jackets for free. Email us your logo for custom-made pressure-reducing valve covers.
  • We do site surveys and supply valve covers or we can only survey your premises. If you would like a site survey, kindly email us with your site address.
  • The prices for the chilled/cold water valve jackets may differ from the ones displayed on the website. Chilled/cold water valves usually need to be wrapped with a vapour barrier which would increase the size of the jacket required and also the cost. If you need chilled/cold water valve covers, please mail us your requirements at [email protected] and we will send you a quote for your order.
