With a total thickness of 0.10 mm and high adhesive strength, the Gerband 712 tape guarantees a long-lasting bond on multiple substrates, including foil faced mineral fibre, and technical membranes. The polyacrylate adhesive used in this tape is non-flammable and offers exceptional adhesion, making it perfect for sealing containers, pipes, and ducts, particularly when welding under protective gas.
When used internally, due to its metallised, low emissivity surface, Gerband 712 reduces convection heat loss. It makes it the ideal solution for jointing and sealing foil faced insulation boards and reflective membranes. When used to tape foil faced insulation externally, Gerband 712 achieves a windtight layer. It prevents wind-washing, increasing the thermal performance of insulation.
Gerband 712 is designed to withstand extreme temperatures, with high heat resistance up to 140°C and a tear force of 60 N. It complies with DIN EN 14410, DIN EN 1942, and DIN EN 1939 standards, ensuring it meets the necessary technical specifications for professional and industrial use.
