The gaps around windows and doors can be source of heat loss in any home or building, which can be prevented using airtught window tapes. PHS Modbau Internal Airtight Window Tape is an essential solution for creating an airtight envelope around windows and doors.

Available in three different sizes, these tapes are designed for optimal sealing of window and door reveals, preventing air leakage and protecting against interstitial condensation.

This airtight tape is specifically engineered with a special structure allowing it to stretch in the transverse direction, ensuring optimal absorption of structural movement. The self-adhesive layer provides high tack, ensuring a durable bond even at low temperatures (0 to – 10 °C). This makes the tape ideal for DIY applications, as well as for professional use in retrofit projects or new builds.

The PHS Modbau Internal Airtight Window Tape is vapor open in summer, allowing any moisture that infiltrated the wall during the winter to dry out internally, preventing long-term damage. Its variable sd membrane value ensures that warm air does not carry moisture into the wall during colder months, reducing the risk of condensation.

Application is easy with the split protective tae, and it’s important to ensure the surface is firm, stable, and free of oil, grease, and dust before installation. The tape's extremely aggressive adhesive ensures it stays in place, even on masonry and blockwork, providing a cost-effective, long-lasting solution for airtightness.

Application:

• Cut the tapes to desired length with an allowance of 50mm.
• Peel the liner off the tape strip and affix the tape to the window frame.
• Repeat the procedure on all sides.
• Align and affix the window element.
• Fill in the cavity between wall and window.
• Remove the second liner, adhere the tape to the masonry and rub well.
• Once the tape is fully bonded to the substrate, it can be plastered over or painted.
