The Polyfoam Floorboard Extra is a step up from the Polyfoam floorboard standard. With its superior compressive strength, improves vapour resistance and thermal efficiency this rigid extruded polystyrene board is the ultimate solution for all floor and underfloor insulation applications.
Engineered for thermal excellence, the Polyfoam XPS floorboard offers outstanding thermal conductivity, ensuring optimal heat retention and energy efficiency. With its low thermal conductivity of 0.033 W/mK, this foam board acts as a robust barrier against heat transfer, reducing the reliance on artificial heating or cooling systems.
One of the standout features of this XPS insulation board is its high compressive strength. Designed to withstand heavy loads, it offers superior support and durability, making it ideal for applications where structural integrity is crucial. It is, therefore, ideal to be used as thermal insulation on external walls (below DPC), for use with underfloor heating systems, on ground floors - below and above (the floating floor) the slab and as basement insulation.
Polyfoam floorboard extra is highly resistant with a moisture absorption of 0.6% by volume when tested in accordance with EN 12087. It is strong, durable and ensures long-lasting performance even under intense pressure.
