Protect your building envelope with Powerlon SupaPerm SP100, a water-resistant and breathable house wrap breather membrane designed for superior performance in roof and wall applications.
This non-woven fabric, single-layer breather membrane is engineered to offer excellent water vapour permeability while resisting wind and rain. Perfect for wall applications in timber frame structures and behind profiled metal roofs, Powerlon SupaPerm SP100 offers breathable protection for your building envelope.
If rain or moisture penetrates behind the façade, cladding, or brickwork, this water-resistant house wrap membrane acts as a barrier—shielding the insulation from water ingress. At the same time, its breathable design allows water vapour to escape from the insulation layer, helping to prevent condensation and long-term moisture damage.
Key Features:
- Single layer house wrap breather membrane for timber frame structures, vertical wall, modular & profiled metal roof installations.
- Available in 2 sizs to suit project requirements - 1.6m x 100m 2.7m x 100m & 3.6m x 100m rolls
- CE approved, Black breather membrane - 100gsm
- Cost effective and easy to install due to the longer 100m roll lengths.
Installation Guidelines
A. Fixing the Membrane
- Secure the membrane to the wall or timber structure using stainless steel staples.
- Ensure all staples and nails are covered by an additional layer of membrane.
- Pull the membrane taut and staple down any loose ends to maintain tension.
B. Taping and Sealing
- Apply Powerbond® Double-sided Butyl Tape within the recommended 100mm overlap area.
- Lay a continuous strip of tape along the full length of the overlap.
- For enhanced sealing, a second strip of tape can be added within the same overlap, spaced 50mm apart from the first.
- Use Powerbond® Acrylic Tape for jointing and sealing overlaps or for detailing—such as sealing within window frames.
- Please note Powerlon® SupaPerm (SP100) must be protected from prolonged UV exposure. Complete and cover the installation within 2 months of application.
C. Corners
- Install the membrane loosely around corners, or form a well-sealed butt joint.
- Avoid creasing the membrane.
- For corner laps or seals, stagger the joints as follows:
- Vertical joint: minimum 150mm
- Horizontal joint: minimum 100mm
D. Overlaps
- Ensure horizontal overlaps are at least 100mm.
- Vertical overlaps should also be a minimum of 100mm.
- All overlaps must fully cover any staples or nails used during installation.
