Foil insulation is mostly installed by stapling; however, please refer to the manufacturer's guidelines before installing it.
In addition to its insulation performance, EcoQuilt Expert is also eco-friendly. It does not contain or release any floating fibers during installation or when disturbed. In fact, you could probably install foil insulation without protective clothing. However, we do recommend wearing protective gloves when installing foil-backed insulation.
EcoQuilt insulation is versatile. It can be used to insulate roofs, lofts, campervans, sheds, conservatories, and much more. Even though it is just 15mm thick (6mm when compressed), this multifoil insulation is equivalent to 100mm of mineral wool insulation and 50mm of PIR boards. This means more indoor space! When taped and sealed securely, these foil insulation rolls act as a protective vapour barrier and reduce condensation.

- Roof insulation – EcoQuilt Expert can be used to insulate both pitched and flat roofs. It is typically stapled or nailed to rafters or joists and then sealed using thermaseal jointing tape.
- Wall insulation – It can be used internally, stapled directly to timber-framed walls or battens on solid brick walls as EcoQuilt insulation for walls.
- Floor insulation – Ideally used to insulate suspended timber floors, above or below, as EcoQuilt insulation for floors.
- Conservatory roof insulation – When used to insulate conservatory roofs, it reflects radiant heat away, working as an excellent thermal foil solution.
- Van insulation – EcoQuilt multifoil compresses to only 6mm thickness, making it ideal for insulating vans.
