It is ideally used to secure Novia gas membranes and vapour control layers against air and water vapour ingress. However, it is not suitable for use as the load-bearing element of a system. Also, Air and Vapour Control Layers (AVCL) and Damp Proof membranes (DPM) will also require mechanical fixings to further secure installations.
