Siderise FR-A Fire Rated Acrylic Sealant is a one-part, fire resistant, gun-grade acrylic-based joint sealant. It provides a firm, yet flexible, seal for joints in a variety of fire rated structures. When exposed to fire, FR-A Acrylic Sealant intumesces to prevent the spread of smoke and fire through the joint for periods up to 4 hours.
Fire resistant acrylic sealant has a D-s1, d1 reaction to fire classification to EN 13501-1. Flexible for joint movement and slump-resistant, making it ideal for small joints.
It offer excellent adhesion to timber, steel and aluminium substrates. No priming required for most construction substrates. Fast cure and tack free within 75 minutes
This fire resistant acrylic sealant can be used with a suitable filling material i.e. stone wool backing material to secure the correct width to depth ratio, and to reduce sealant shrinkage during curing.
It also finds internal use in curtain walling, precast concrete façade, composite cladding, and building interior applications where there is low exposure to moisture.
Note - it is not suitable for external use where there is exposure to moisture or weathering e.g. ventilated cladding (rainscreen) and external masonry wall applications.
