With a mineral fibre core, it is an excellent thermal insulator with a thermal conductivity of 0.034 W/mK, tested to EN 12667
The black non-woven glass fabric facing helps to prevent fibre shedding from the mineral wool core. The facing is applied by a special open structured bonding technique to ensure optimum and consistent sound absorbing properties.
These acoustic insulation slabs have excellent reaction to fire performance, EN13501-1 A2-s1,d0 which means it meets the requirements of the latest edition of the UK Building Regulations Approved Document B.
