Thermoguard Thermocoat Steel Fire Paint Primer is a high-performance primer designed as the essential first coat for the Thermoguard Thermocoat intumescent paint system. Specifically formulated for structural steel and cast iron, this primer ensures maximum grip to bare steel and existing primers, creating the ideal foundation for achieving superior fire resistance. It is the first step in a complete fire protection system that helps in maintaining the structural integrity of buildings during a fire.

- Superior Adhesion: Specially formulated for maximum grip to steel and existing primers, helping to ensure good intumescent paint adhesion for the entire system.
- Certified Fire Protection: An integral part of an intumescent paint system providing fire resistance to load-bearing structural steel and cast iron of up to 90 mins with a minimum number of coats. The system has undergone extensive fire testing and comes with fire test laboratory certification to BS 476 Part 21.
- Architectural Finish: When used with the Thermoguard Flame Retardant Topcoat, the system provides a durable, decorative finish that enhances the architectural and design features of the steelwork.
- Compliance Assured: This fire retardant paint system is 2010 compliant and safe to use. A Certificate of Supply can be issued upon request for each specified project for insurance and regulatory purposes
