Xtratherm Thin-R thermal laminate is specially designed to give high levels of thermal insulation and drylining in one operation. The closed-cell structure of the insulated plasterboard effectively restricts the transfer of heat. The low thermal conductivity of their PIR core helps keep the heat in.
Insulated plasterboards by Xtratherm are an excellent choice for any new-build or refurbishment projects. It has an Xtratherm PIR insulation core with a composite kraft facing bonded to a 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard. It is manufactured in accordance with EN 13165 standards.
They are ideal for use in both new builds and refurbishment works. Due to their dual application, they help save space and money. Insulated plasterboards offer effective moisture resistance. They do not support or promote the growth of moulds, vermin or fungi.

Installation:
Ensure the wall is dry and free from any/wallpaper, protrusions etc.
Mark the position of XT/TL - insulated plasterboard on the wall. Setting out and planning board positioning is essential.
Apply adhesive dabs to the wall in accordance with BS8212, ensuring a 50mm continuous ribbon of adhesive is created at the top and bottom of each board and around all openings. Follow adhesive manufacturer’s guidelines.
Lift the XT/TL into position using wedges on the floor.
Align XT/TL squarely on the wall. Apply pressure to the board to level and embed
it into the adhesive.
When the adhesive has dried, 3 mechanical fixings (thermally broken) should be fixed through the centre of the board.
Seal and tape the joints of XT/TL to ensure a continuous vapour control layer is
