Acuphon PhonoDeck is the ultimate acoustic overlay board solution for timber floors!  The PhonoDeck range by Acuphon offers an easy and convenient way to reduce both airborne and impact noise through new and existing floors. Each PhonoDeck® acoustic overlay is made of a high density floorboard and recycled resilient polyester under-layer with a tongue and groove edge profiling. The overlay board complies with Part E of Building Regulations.

They come in the following thicknesses and can be used depending on thier sound insulation required

PhonoDeck 24: This is a 24mm thick acoustic overlay board. Resilient overlay boards are made using an 18mm T&G chipboard that resists moisture ingress and a 6mm recycled reconstituted chipfoam layer included to resist noise. PhonoDeck 24 is a non-structural acoustic overlay flooring board made in the UK that can be used on timber and concrete subfloors in both new and refurbishment construction projects.

PhonoDeck® 28: An acoustic overlay board ideal for medium-loud impact and low- medium airborne noise such as voices, TV noise and footsteps.

The top layer of the PhonoDeck® 28 is constructed with a moisture-resistant tongue and grooved chipboard. To isolate it from the building's floor structure, it is equipped with acoustic felt lining. The PhonoDeck® 28 is designed to minimise vibrations, as well as to reduce the transmission of both airborne sound and impact noise through the floor. It is 28mm in thickness.

PhonoDeck® Tri35s ( Tri-Deck) - The PhonoDeck® Tri35s is made up of a high-density 22mm timber floorboard with a tongue and groove profiling that is pre-bonded to 5mm recycled polyester. Additionally, they feature a low-resonance, flexible, 8mm recycled rubber crumb underlayer to provide extra resilience.

The Tri-Deck acoustic layer is superior in the market, granting the product longevity with a lasting life of 25+ years with its unique 'bounce back' properties.

PhonoDeck® Tri35s boards are strong and rigid. They are suitable for both 400mm and 600mm joist centres and ceramic tiles can be laid straight on top. Non-load-bearing partitions can also be built off this floor.

The T&G profiling helps with easy installations. These PhonoDeck® composite overlays provide optimal performance, improving the performance of an existing structural timber decked floor.

They are ideally used for refurbishments and in applications where privacy and comfort are important. The acoustic overlay boards are made to be laid directly on top of sub-floors for additional height. PhonoDeck® can be utilised in various settings such as offices, hotels, building expansions, refurbishment projects, and loft renovations for the purpose of enhancing soundproofing within a property to meet building guidelines or simply to minimise noise levels.
