This pipe insulation is suitable for a wide temperature range, from -50°C to +110°C, making it versatile for both hot and cold applications.

K Flex Black Class 'O' Elastomeric Nitrile Rubber Pipe Insulation

K-Flex nitrile rubber pipe insulation is one of the high-performing pipe lagging that we supply here at Buy Insulation online. This rubber pipe insulation can be used across projects be it commercial,  industrial or residential.

At Buy Insualtion Online, we supply these in 2m lengths and deliver across the mainland UK. You can shop for nitrile rubber pipe insulation from the comfort of your home or office. Estimated delivery times are 2-3 working days. We also deliver these for free in main cities across the UK.

How to purchase nitrile runner pipe insulation online?

You can buy rubber pipe insulation online here at Buy Insulation Online. We supply 2m length which means, each pipe section is about 2m long. Simply choose your pipe diameter from the options above and the thickness of the insulation you need for your application to arrive at the right size of pipe insulation.

How is nitrile pipe insulation better?

Made with Buna-R, this foamed rubber pipe insulation is more flexible and tougher, compared to other pipe-insulating materials.

With its thermal conductivity being around 0.035 - 0.038 W/(m•K), this closed-cell pipe insulation restricts heat loss quite effectively. However, foam pipe insulation is best used to protect pipes from freezing. It is used to insulate cold and chilled water lines as they give effective thermal insulation even in temperatures as low as -200 °C.

This rubber pipe insulation is rated Class O. Class O-rated pipe insulation sections are compliant with Building Regulations and are fire-resistant.

With an in-built vapour barrier, these nitrile rubber pipe insulation sections prevent condensation and sweating in the pipework. They also naturally resist the growth of moulds, fungi or bacteria and can help fight against the growth of the Leginaaries bacterium.

How to install K-Flex NItrile runner pipe insulation?

As mentioned above K-Flex is supplied as 2m long sections. Choose the correct pipe diameter and insulation thickness when you buy pipe insulation online.

K-Flex ST tubes are non-slit. Which means they will need to be cut to be installed around the pipework. Cutting pipe insulation is easy and can be done using a standard, sharp utility knife.

Free the surface of the pipe from dust, oil etc. Cut the pipe lagging to size and wrap around the pipework. Seal the ends of the insulation together using nitrile rubber adhesives like Armacell 520. For the detailed procedure on insulating pipe bends, please refer to our blog.

If you are using rubber pipe insulation outside the building, proper pipe jacketing or cladding material pipe PIB insulation, Proclad or Klasse pipe jacketing system or metal cladding must be used. Always complete the installation using appropriate pipe Identification labels to keep the workplace safe.
