Novia STRP Reinforced Air and Vapour Control Layer is a high specification reinforced polythene laminate designed to protect the building envelope from moisture damage. As a premium air and vapour control layer (AVCL), this product is manufactured from super tough reinforced polythene, creating a robust solution for managing water vapour movement through building structures.
This 2m x 50m membrane serves a dual purpose. It functions primarily as a vapour check, but when installed correctly with sealed laps, it performs the additional task of an air-leakage barrier. This helps to prevent the loss of heated air and improves the energy efficiency of the structure. Novia STRP VCL is CE approved to EN 13984 and is fully compliant for use in insulated wall, roof, and floor applications.
To maintain total barrier integrity over the product’s lifespan, we recommend using Novia double-sided butyl and metallized BOPP tapes. For complex sealing areas or applications requiring extra reinforcement, Novia AirSeal 310 provides a high-performance alternative. When installed alongside Novia breather membranes, This AVCL creates a fully airtight and vapor-resistant system.
