Passive Purple Brush-On Airtight Vapour Control Layer - 5Kg

For homes to be completely draught-proof and energy-efficient air gaps in the building fabric must be eliminated. This is why we recommend using the Passive Purple vapour control layer. It is a liquid vapour control layer that can be easily applied to connecting joints of the walls, floors and ceilings using a brush.  

The joints of the walls floors etc are commonly referred to as high-risk areas for losing heat. Gaps or cracks in the building fabric are quite common in these high-risk areas since they are usually made of two different building materials. Passive purple liquid airtightness membrane easily and quickly adheres to most building materials like wood, concrete etc. Hence they make it easy to cover all gaps in these high-risk areas and make your home airtight. Plus, they are easily applied in awkward spaces or hard-to-reach corners of the building. 

Upon drying, this liquid forms an airtight membrane that protects your home not just from vapours or losing heat but also restricts the entry of harmful radon gas. 

The passive purple vapour control layer is completely free of any harmful chemicals and VOCs.  It is Passivhaus-certified with a score of  0.03ach which is about twenty times lower than the recommended level, which is 0.06ach. Airtightness membrane is also BBA-approved

This vapour control layer has better fire resistance compared to any paper-based vapour control layer. Plus is it also less labour-intensive. You simply have to apply it using a brush to a clean, dirt-free surface. So, no more worrying about taping the paper, stapling it etc. Also, no more damaged paper issues.  

The passive Purple vapour control layer is water-based. It allows mess-free installation. It is easier to clean after the installation as the vapour control layer is water-based. It also helps save on installation and labour charges. For bigger projects, we recommend 10Kg Tub available with us.
