Proctor Reflectatherm Plus is a high-performance reflective vapour control layer designed to improve airtightness, moisture control, and the overall thermal performance of insulated building structures. Manufactured by the Proctor Group, this multi-functional membrane acts as both an air barrier and vapour control layer, helping to protect insulation and building fabric from moisture-related issues.
Installed on the warm side of the insulation, Reflectatherm Plus helps minimise the movement of water vapour into roof, wall, floor, and ceiling constructions. The reflective foil surface enhances thermal efficiency by reflecting radiant heat back into the building, contributing to improved energy performance.
This membrane is suitable for installation in roofs, internal walls, floors, and ceilings. In roof applications, it is typically installed to the underside of the rafters or between the rafters and the ceiling lining, with the foil side facing the cavity to maximise reflective performance. It helps improve thermal resistance and reduce the risk of condensation within the building structure.

Installations:
Reflectatherm Plus is a reflective vapour control layer. The membrane should be installed in the traditional manner, on the inside face of the insulant and should have a minimum 19mm airspace between the plasterboard and the vapour control layer. This airspace can be utilised as a service void which reduces the number of penetrations to the vapour control layer, thus enhancing the thermal efficiency and reducing the condensation risk. The membrane should be installed with the reflective surface towards the service void.
