Siderise Comfort Extra Lightweight Acoustic Foam is a flame-retardant, low-mass polyurethane foam designed for thermal and acoustic applications. It is suitable for use in ductwork lining, ventilation equipment, spatial absorbers, and vehicle linings. The product meets UK building regulations for reaction to fire performance for wall and ceiling linings.
This acoustic foam slab is an open cell melamine material offering very good sound absorption performance in relative to it's thickness - αW :0.20@6mm
Made from melamine, the foam is naturally flame retardant and meets the requirements of FMVSS 302 (automotive), UL94 V-0 & HF1 (electrical equipment) EN45545-2 R1 HL2 (Rail), BS476 part 6&7 Class 0: 25mm, Class 1: 50mm (former Approved Document B) and EN13501-1 5mm-20mm Class B, 21mm-200mm Class C(current approved document B).
This material has a thermal conductivity of 0.035?W/m·K, making it suitable for use in thermal insulation applications such as buildings, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment where energy efficiency is a consideration.
Weighing just 9kg/m³, it's easy to handle and install without compromising performance.
