Siderise Comfort Extra Lightweight Acoustic Foam is a highly flame retardant foam offering excellent thermal insulation and very good sound absorption. It is ideal for various applications, including ductwork lining, ventilation equipment, spatial absorbers, and vehicle absorption linings. Meets latest UK building regulations reaction to fire performance for wall and ceiling linings.
Made from melamine, the foam is naturally flame retardant and meets the requirements of FMVSS 302 (automotive), UL94 V-0 & HF1 (electrical equipment) EN45545-2 R1 HL2 (Rail), BS476 part 6&7 Class 0: 25mm, Class 1: 50mm (former Approved Document B) and EN13501-1 5mm-20mm Class B, 21mm-200mm Class C(current approved document B).
This material is an excellent thermal insulator (thermal conductivity 0.035 W/mK) making it ideal for use in energy efficiency applications such as buildings, HVAC systems, and industrial equipment.
Weighing just 9kg/m³, it's easy to handle and install without compromising performance.
