Novia 500 Gauge FR Virgin is a high-performance, fire-rated air and vapour control layer (AVCL) designed to improve the thermal performance and longevity of modern buildings. Manufactured as a single-ply blown polythene material, this virgin grade membrane offers superior consistency and strength compared to recycled alternatives.
This virgin grade polythene is a milky white, translucent membrane specifically engineered for use in timber frame constructions and other structural framework projects. By acting as a robust air leakage barrier, it significantly minimises air leakage and energy heat losses, ensuring long-term energy efficiency for the building envelope. The membrane has good moisture vapour resistance an is ideal for applications where there is a moderate risk of interstitial condensation.
The material meets EN 13984 and is CE marked. Novia® 500 Gauge FR Virgin Polythene complies to EN 13501-1 Fire Classification B-s1,d0*.
