Rockwool Techwrap2 - Acoustic Pipe Insulation

Pipes travel throughout a building and it is quite challenging to minimise the sound their services produce. Rockwool Techwrap2 is a product specially designed to give exceptional acoustic insulation to pipes. It is a laminate mineral wool insulation, Rockwool acoustic membrane and a layer of reinforced aluminium foil.

Acoustic Insulation:

Rockwool techwrap2 is made from strips of Rockwool lamella originally made of mineral wool, bonded on the edge to the Rockwool acoustic membrane. The acoustic membrane used in making Rockwool techwrap2 ensures superior soundproofing insulation to pipework found in the HVAC system of a building. The superior acoustic performance of Rockwool Teckwrap2 is maintained by preserving the thickness at corners, bends and fixing locations. 

Thermal Insulation:

With a low thermal conductivity of 0.039 W/mK, Rockwool Techwrap2 ensures that the heat stays inside the pipe and pipework. This feature allows the uninterrupted supply of heated or conditioned air throughout the building, thereby reducing energy bills.

Water-resistance:

Rockwool Techwrap2 had factory-applied foil facings that act as a moisture barrier, thus preventing moisture ingress into the application.

Installation:

Rockwool Techwrap2 is easy to install especially around the corners and bends of pipework. It preserves the thickness around the awkward angles of the pipes, thus ensuring effective thermal and acoustic insulation throughout the application.

Rockwool Techwrap2 can be installed using 75mm foil tapes.

Environment:

Rockwool technwrap2 is made from sustainably sourced materials and is 97% recyclable. It does not contain any gases with Ozone-Depleting or Global-Warming Potential.
